OUR STORY - THE RANCH AT PUAKEA

The Ranch at Puakea is a remarkable piece of “old” Hawaii. The Ranch comprises a spectacular section of land on the Kohala Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii with almost half a mile of shoreline. Previously, this land was part of the historic Parker Ranch and earlier, the estate of Kamehameha, first King of the Hawaiian Islands.

The Ranch at Puakea includes three large ocean front panoramic estates and ten scenic-vista parcels covering 293 acres of extraordinarily beautiful “old” Hawaii.

Comprehensive planning has defined the Ranch at Puakea as a refined, upscale, private enclave for a limited few who appreciate the beauty of their surroundings.

Completed facilities include a distinguished security gate entrance with a sophisticated circular entry designed to incorporate lava rock walls, cobblestone patterned pavement, lawn, large trees, flowers and aesthetic 3-rail Kiawe fencing. Roundabouts with large Banyon and Ficus trees accent the private roadway. All Ranch HomeOwners have private access to the ocean trail along the coastline. The Ranch provides an abundant supply of water; a private, exclusive well augments County Water. All utilities are provided underground to the lot lines. Electric service is furnished by HELCO, phone service by Hawaiian TelCom, and TV/Internet cable by Spectrum.

Ranch at Puakea estates are 20-30 acres. All estates are south and west facing for stunning sunset vistas as well as views of Maui. Deed restrictions preclude further subdivision.

The land slopes gently to the coast with the highest point about 500 feet above sea level. Rainfall averages an ideal 25-35” per year. Scattered Kiawe trees add a sense of character and longevity to the landscape. Average year-round temperatures range in the 70’s and 80’s.

The location is ideal in more ways than climate. It provides access to an unending variety of recreational options as well as services for daily living. The Ranch at Puakea is twenty minutes from the world class golf resorts of Mauna Kea and Mauna Lani, five minutes from a charming old sugar town, Hawi, and easy access to Kamuela (Waimea) for all the basic services. Kona International airport is 45 minutes away.

The Ranch at Puakea is the result of enthusiasm and passion of a couple from Colorado desiring to create a Hawaiian Paradise for themselves and neighbors.

It is infrequent for parcels like this to be available anywhere – oceanfront, large acreage, private, beautiful, excellent location, ideal climate. Feel the magic.
